9 to 10 months

I have not been updating the blog on a regular basis, so to the maybe two people who read it, I apologize. Now that he's been so mobile my life is a little busier. The 30 seconds you aren't looking he's smashed his finger in a drawer or put a peanut in his mouth that he found on the kitchen floor (luckily no allergic reaction). He's a handful for sure but tons of fun. I will just list what's going on...

9 month check up stats:
29.25" long (88%)
19.5 pounds (45%)

He's been sick on and off for a month. Had two different virus', one where he was throwing up and another where he had bad dipes for 5 days and a rash. Plus colds in between. Day care...

He has 2 bottom teeth, the right top one is almost all the way in and I'm thinking the left one will pop through any day.

He's crawling everywhere, pulling to standing on everything, cruising, pushing a cart around while walking.

Eating mainly fruits and veggies still. He's had eggs but not a fan yet and I gave him meat for the first time tonight (baby food meat) and he gagged and spit it out. He loves fruit mostly but still likes some greens like broccoli, spinach and green beans. He holds the bottle on his own and is now drinking independently from a sippy cup. I quit nursing him around 9 months and he had no issues adjusting to the bottle.

He's saying dada, baba (for bottle or me maybe?), he likes to whisper tata. He's working on building words. I'm sure he hasn't made any connections with words to things but it sure is cute. He "talks" now instead of yelling and blowing raspberries constantly as he was before.

I think he can wave because he does it sometimes and says bye bye but it could be a coincidence. He claps and he raises his arm and opens and closes his hand when looking up at lights. Not sure why?

He's getting very independent. Playing on his own. He loves me to read him books. He still loves Mother's Day Out and the ladies there love him. (He got in trouble last week for stealing other kids' bottles.) Loves being outside and loves the dogs.

Sleeping great considering he was sick for a month. Normally sleeps 11-12 hours but lately he has been waking up at 6 am!! So early for me. He's taking around 2 naps a day, sometimes just one if he's been to Mother's Day Out. They have him on a different schedule than I do at home so we get off on our naps sometimes.

I think that's it for now. :) So much changes and happens within a month it's hard for me to remember everything! Goodness gracious I love that boy and am thankful for him every second! Below are some recent photographs I took. To see others from the same session feel free to hit up my Jara Hill Photography Blog, jarahill.com/blog.

  1. It is so fun to read your blog and realize how the kiddos are so much alike (except Sabrina has no teeth)! Let's get together soon.
