Back at the Rockin' R

The day after Christmas we went to the Rockin' R. Rhett loves it out there. We hike around and check out the cows. He gets so much exercise out there running and playing. Mitchell and I have a good time hiking with him and pointing out the trees, rocks and animals and listening to Rhett talk about everything he sees. I told Mitchell I wish that I could bottle up his little voice and be able to open it and listen to his words and phrases when he gets older. He says the cutest things and has the sweetest voice. I want to keep it forever.

Christmas 2012

This year we did an early Christmas with my parents while they were in town for Rhett's birthday then spent Christmas Eve and Day in Dallas in our home and with Mitchell's family. It was the first year Mitchell and I have spent Christmas in our home without family and just the three of us. Rhett didn't get up on Christmas morning until after 9:15 and we actually had to wake him. He had too much fun on Christmas Eve playing with his cousins. He was a little grouchy and confused when we got him up but once he woke up a little he got more excited about his new bike and toys. Every present that he saw wrapped he'd say "Open it. I want it." :) Uh oh! We also got a bit of a White Christmas.

 

Rhett turns 2!

Saturday, December 22nd was Rhett's 2nd birthday. We had lots of friends and family over to celebrate. My parents got Rhett a little bounce house and the weather was nice, so we put that with lots of fun toys in the backyard so all the kids could run and play. A big thanks to everyone who came to the party!
