19 months

July was pretty hot and busy so I haven't taken many photos of Rhett recently. Below are some from one afternoon last week. Since it's so hot we have to stay cool by getting wet so I got out the mister and the baby pool.  I haven't posted Rhett's stats from his 18 month appointment so those are also below.

Weight: 26.4 lbs, 50%
Height: 33.5", 75% (he'd grown an inch and half since his 15 month appt)
Head: 60%

He's at such a fun age right now. Talking a lot, repeating words, pointing out people and objects and lots of baby babble where he says things with intensity and you want to understand what he says but it's another language it seems. He's still very into balls and sports. He loves hitting and pitching. He will get out the bat and ball and say "bay ball". He laughs a lot and has tons of energy. At his MDO, they ask me if he's always that happy and I have to admit, for the most part, he is a super happy child. He really hasn't gotten too into the temper tantrum phase and I've only had to put him in time out 3 or 4 times. I'm sure I will pay for it later though. He's also loving swim lessons. Right now he doesn't have much fear- if any- of the water so he will go under for several seconds and jump off the side and the diving board. I'm keeping him in lessons through the fall because he's done so well with it and really seems to enjoy it. He's also loving puzzles and books right now. He's learning his colors, animals, shapes and can sort of count to 3. It's crazy to me how much they pick up on and how quickly he learns things. He's very into imitating what we and others do so we really have to watch what we do around him. Lastly, his hair is wild but we have yet to cut it and probably won't until it becomes in his eyes too much. I like the untamed look though. This little boy is the light of our lives!
