Easter 2013

There was an Easter party and egg hunt at his Mother's Day Out on Thursday before Easter, then we went to Little Rock to see my family for Easter weekend. We dyed eggs on Saturday - which he loved. On Sunday, had the egg hunt inside my parent's house because the weather was yucky and rainy. In his pictures from school, he had on his birthday shirt because it was the extra one I left in his bag and he'd spilled apple sauce on the shirt he was wearing. The outfit he has on at my parent's house was my brother's Easter outfit when he was about Rhett's age. Rhett enjoyed Easter this year - being a little older and more aware, also knowing that each egg had candy inside :) - he is still playing with his eggs and Easter basket. Not sure when the excitement will wear off and he will let me take the basket and eggs away!

Rhett's 2 Year Photos

I took these photos back in February, for his professional 2-year shots. (You know I photograph every milestone age). I am late posting but here they are as well as an update on Rhett.

> Rhett is potty trained! We started potty training about a month after he turned 2 - he is potty trained (or training) actually in the photos below. He was pretty easy I have to say, even being so young, and for a boy. He took about 2 weeks to fully get it but he got it and I'm so happy for him (and me, not to have to change those diapers anymore).

> He has tried (unsuccessfully) to crawl out of his crib so we are moving him to a big bed soon.

> He is speaking in sentences! Not full time but here and there and also repeating EVERYTHING! Latest words...oh dammit...oh dammit is right. Oops.

> He is a lot of fun right now. Incredibly sweet, wanting hugs and kisses, saying "awe mommy". He likes playing outside still...duh, not as into reading books lately, loves playing hide and seek with his doggy, has been a breeze getting him to go to bed at night (going down around 8:30/9 and sleeping until about 8). He still loves MDO and has been potty training at school too, doing great with it there. He is just an all around sweet, bright, fun, funny, chill and handsome little boy! I am so lucky!

Back at the Rockin' R

The day after Christmas we went to the Rockin' R. Rhett loves it out there. We hike around and check out the cows. He gets so much exercise out there running and playing. Mitchell and I have a good time hiking with him and pointing out the trees, rocks and animals and listening to Rhett talk about everything he sees. I told Mitchell I wish that I could bottle up his little voice and be able to open it and listen to his words and phrases when he gets older. He says the cutest things and has the sweetest voice. I want to keep it forever.
